We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us at Fenaghy Veterinary Clinic, in our Antrim and Ballymena branches!
The Role
The typical day involves admitting and preparing animals for surgery including monitoring patient status, anaesthesia, accurate record-keeping, pre and post-surgery observations, stock ordering, assisting vets with surgical procedures and consultations, running nurse consultations, discharging pets and helping to coach and mentor student nurses.
Your shifts will be 28 hours per week, working between 8am – 7pm including 1:4 weekends with no OOH. The salary is £31,000 DOE pro rata.
About Us
We are an all-small animal only clinic in two busy towns – Antrim and Ballymena. We are a short drive (or bus/train journey) from the buzz of Belfast City centre or the views at the North Coast.
We run two well equipped, busy clinics with an experienced and friendly team of 8 Vets, 6 RVN, 3 ANA and 1 student nurse, 4 receptionists, 1 Practice Manager alongside our visiting specialist Ophthalmologist. Our veterinary surgeons have certificates in surgery, dermatology and exotics. Full support will be given if you want to carry out a certificate, equally, there is no pressure to do so.
Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a fully qualified RVN. Our ideal candidate demonstrates previous experience in a clinical setting, excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well within a team and sole charge when necessary.

Small Animal Vet Required. Co Down

We are an independent mixed practice dealing with a good client base who have high expectations for their animals.
Equipment includes lab, DR xrays, new scanners etc.
Back up available as/if required by experienced colleagues at all times.

Veterinary Surgeon – JMW Farms Ltd.
The Veterinary Surgeon will be joining our Veterinary Practice in Armagh which specialises in Porcine Animals. They will work closely with our farm managers, field staff and third-party producers to ensure the health and welfare of our animals.
The successful candidates will be Qualified MRCVS, experienced Vet or recent graduate, have experience with large livestock and completing post-mortems. They must also have the ability to work on their own initiative, a can-do attitude, willingness to learn quickly within a changing environment and have excellent communications skills.
A full driving licence is required, as the role will involve travel to our farms.
Previous experience in with working with pigs and being familiar with VMD requirements for running a Veterinary Practice are desirable.
Full training and mentoring will be provided by our Award-Winning Vet, as well as our technical team.
