We are a 1st and 2nd opinion practice with a highly variable and exciting caseload of both medical, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. The Role:
• Package from £31-33k depending on experience & roles taken on.

Castle Vets NI, based at the foot of the Mourne Mountains, is seeking a Director of Practice and Clinical Services to join its large, respected mixed practice team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who wants to combine hands-on clinical work with the chance to lead, influence and support a well-established practice.
You’ll spend around 80% of your time in practice, enjoying a varied caseload across consultations and surgery, while also mentoring colleagues, supporting new graduates and helping to shape a strong, collaborative clinical culture across two busy sites. The practice is well equipped with digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound and multiparameter monitoring, all within a friendly and supportive team environment.
This full-time role (40 hours over 4 or 5 days) includes a 1 in 3 Saturday rota, with no out-of-hours or on-call commitments. Part-time applications are also welcomed.
You will be an RCVS-registered vet with strong clinical experience and a passion for leadership, development and high standards of care. Mixed practice experience is desirable.

Small Animal Vet – Internal Medicine Pathway

Earlswood Veterinary Hospital in Belfast is delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in Internal Medicine to take the next step in their clinical career.
This is a rare advanced practitioner development role, designed for an experienced GP vet who enjoys first opinion practice but is motivated to progress into referral level medicine. Over a structured three year period, you will be fully supported to complete a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine (or further develop an existing qualification), with the clear intention of transitioning into a permanent Internal Medicine referral position within Earlswood. This is not an internship or residency, but a long term career pathway focused on mentorship, continuity and progression.
Initially, the role combines busy first opinion GP work with supervised referral exposure. Around two days per week will be spent managing a varied GP caseload, while the remaining time will be dedicated to working alongside our established Internal Medicine referral team, steadily building confidence, skills and autonomy.
The preferred working pattern is 35 hours across four days, promoting excellent work–life balance and protected time for rest, study and professional development. Shifts run between 8:30am and 7:30pm, Monday to Friday. Weekend duties are light at one in four, and there are no out of hours or on call requirements, as all emergency care is managed on site by Vets Now.

Vet Required for Mixed Practice in Co. Antrim

We have a vacancy for a full time or part time veterinary surgeon in our friendly, long established independent practice.
Experience is preferred but not essential.
We require a good team player with excellent communication skills who would be keen to grow within our supportive 9 vet practice in Gleno, nestled in a beautiful coastal area of Co. Antrim.
If desired, within our team, there is the opportunity for you to develop an interest in small animal or large animal work or to carry out a mix of both.
There is clinical freedom with excellent support, particularly if you are a new grad, through our mentoring programme in a friendly, happy working environment.
We’re well equipped, with competent and helpful support staff and are a VN training centre.
Located a short distance from Belfast and the Antrim coast, providing a wide variety of leisure activities. We are easily accessible as we are very convenient to Belfast International and City airports and Belfast and Larne ferry ports.
There’s an excellent variety of work in the practice which is 50% small and 50% large animal (dairy, beef, sheep and horses).
Out of hours rota is 1 in 5. We have flexibility for the working hours required, so we can try and suit your lifestyle and preferences if possible, to provide a good work-life balance.

CPD is encouraged and fully funded.

A position has arisen for a keen vet to join 7 others in our friendly, progressive mixed practice. The practice split is about 1/3 SA , 1/3 equine, 1/3 Farm.
