We have all the usual equipment in the main branch for both farm and small animal practice including easy scan/small animal ultrasound, IDEXX lab station, microscope, Ovacte, x-ray, endoscope, ECG, kennelling/stabling facilities, small ruminant operating table, and a horse stock. The small animal practice offers routine consults and surgery, internal medicine investigations, soft tissue surgery, some orthopaedic surgery and any emergency surgery as and when required. We mainly see cats and dogs and some small furys, but occasionally a reptile or bird is also presented. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us at Fenaghy Veterinary Clinic, in our Antrim and Ballymena branches!
The Role
The typical day involves admitting and preparing animals for surgery including monitoring patient status, anaesthesia, accurate record-keeping, pre and post-surgery observations, stock ordering, assisting vets with surgical procedures and consultations, running nurse consultations, discharging pets and helping to coach and mentor student nurses.
Your shifts will be 28 hours per week, working between 8am – 7pm including 1:4 weekends with no OOH. The salary is £31,000 DOE pro rata.

We are an all-small animal only clinic in two busy towns – Antrim and Ballymena. We are a short drive (or bus/train journey) from the buzz of Belfast City centre or the views at the North Coast.
