Main Duties
• Primary contact for clients and liaison with clinical staff.
• Provide accurate information regarding services and products to clients.
• Book appointments and managing client enquiries efficiently.
• Handle administrative tasks, including dealing with insurance queries, cash handling and end of day banking.
• Cleaning duties.
• Assist with dispensing medications.
• Handle pets when required.
Requirements
• Reception/customer service experience is essential.
• Previous experience in a veterinary practice is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good IT skills. Ideally proficient in MS Office packages and able to learn new systems quickly.

Most veterinary staff are in their roles due to a love of animals, and there are many opportunities to engage with lovely pets, but this role also requires empathy and patience for pet owners, often at very stressful or upsetting times for them.
The role available is up to 40 hours per week, and we are happy to discuss options with the right candidate. You will join the weekend rota, working one in five Saturdays at our Balmoral clinic. Ideally you will be flexible and able to work at any of our clinics; however you will be based mainly at our Commons Brae site.
Working hours will be between 8am and 7.30pm.
