Cedar Grove Vets in Belfast are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse or Student Veterinary nurse to join our well-established first opinion and referral practice.
As a Veterinary Nurse at Cedar Grove, you will undertake a diverse range of duties including nurse consultations—such as weight clinics, six-month health checks, nail trimming, nutrition advice, and more. Your clinical responsibilities will involve patient nursing, critical care, scrub nursing, patient triage, blood sampling, catheter placement, anaesthesia primarily for small animals and occasional exotics, radiography, laboratory and microscope work, puppy socialisation classes, and upholding health and safety and hygiene standards.
Our practice boasts excellent, high-end facilities, including a fully equipped imaging suite with MRI and CT capabilities, ensuring you have access to the latest diagnostic tools. Supported by a strong team of 13 Registered Veterinary Nurses, student nurses, nursing assistants, and led by 10 veterinary surgeons with a range of additional qualifications in orthopaedics, surgery, internal medicine, and neurology, you’ll be part of a dedicated group passionate about providing the highest standards of care.
We pride ourselves on fostering a positive work-life balance with a flexible rota system. As a part time RVN You’ll work up to 25 hours per week or a SVN will work up to 40 hours per week on an 10-week rolling rota, including 1 in 5 weekends and a share of the out-of-hours rota, with generous time off before and after weekend and overnight shifts. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements to help you balance your professional and personal life.
You will get 7 weeks annual leave pro-rata and Your birthday as a paid day off. £550 CPD allowance with 2 days paid pro rata.

We are currently looking for an experienced LA vet at our Portglenone branch to join our 5 vet Farm team. Our farm team ranges from consultancy, herd health and fertility management. You would be working in a dynamic structured team with a firm career progression within a family environment. You will gain knowledge from our experienced team including certificate holders. Our farms range from 30 cows to 1,100 cows, with the addition of sucklers, beef finishing & sheep. OOH 1 in 6. We will provide full support and CPD to help you achieve your goals. The Role

Veterinary Surgeon – Mixed practice

Salary up to £65,000 DOE, plus Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 and up to £5,000 welcome bonus
This is a truly varied position, ideal for a vet who enjoys the balance of large and small animal care. Approximately 65% of the work is focused on farm animal cases,mostly cattle, with some equine and the remaining 35% centres around companion animals. You’ll be based across our three branches in Maghera, Kilrea and Dungiven, so a valid driving licence is essential.
You’ll have the chance to form strong client relationships and work with a wide range of species, from farm animals and horses to dogs, cats, and even the occasional exotic pet. No two days are the same, and you’ll be well-supported every step of the way.
Our clinics are well-equipped to handle the wide range of cases we see, with tools such as easy scan, small animal ultrasound, IDEXX lab stations, X-ray, ECG, endoscopy, and more. We have excellent kennel and stabling facilities, a horse stock, and even a small ruminant operating table.
From day-to-day consults and routine procedures to more complex surgeries and emergency care, you’ll be supported to develop and thrive in all areas of practice.
The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week. There is an OOH requirement to work 1 night per week on call, in the winter months and 1 night per week every fortnight, in summer months. Although this is advertised as a full-time role, we are open to both full time and part time applications.

Based at our Dungannon Branch the successful candidate must have the ability to organise and manage a varied workload
while pro-actively assisting the poultry team with the running of a very busy office.
Have good communication skills dealing mainly with commercial layer clients.
In this vital role you will be a key member of the team focusing on the effective running
of the poultry office. You must have previous experience supporting a team,
ability to prioritise tasks, IT proficient and use own initiative for problem solving.
Requirements:
• Be educated to at least A level or equivalent or higher
• Have at least two years experience in an Administration/Reception post or customer service role
• Have strong IT skills, be a confident user of Microsoft Office based packages.
Previous experience working with poultry farmers, agriculture or a vet practice would be advantageous.

You will have access to digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental radiography, laser therapy, and diathermy, everything you need to deliver the very best care.
Consultations run throughout the day, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care, giving you the opportunity to build trusted relationships with our long-standing clients and their pets. Surgery is scheduled into your week, typically two mornings, and includes everything from routine procedures to a wide range of dental cases referred to us, as well as heart scans, endoscopy, and orthopaedics. Full time position
We are an independent ,progressive practice with a mixture of young and experienced vets working together and we are expanding to 8 vets in total.
Practice is 1/3 farm, 1/3 SA and 1/3 farm.
The practice is fully equipped with eazi scan,mobile and static DR Xrays,ultrasound scanners, gastroscope, respiratory scope and lab.
There are two surgeries, in Moira and Dromore and separate equine facilities for equine inpatients.
We place a high value on teamwork,case sharing,enthusiasm and a solid work ethic.
Experienced colleague preferred but a keen new grad would also be welcome as training be given and there will be constant backup and support.
Rota will be divided between 6 vets.
Accomodation as required,vehicle or mileage and competitive salary DOE and package required.
All flexible.
Work is often slanted to suit individual preferences but all species will be dealt with routinely by everyone.
