We are currently looking for an experienced vet or can accommodate a new graduate at Parklands Cookstown to join our 9 vet Farm team. Our farm team ranges from consultancy, herd health and fertility management. You would be working in a dynamic structured team with a firm career progression within a family environment. You will gain knowledge from our experienced team including certificate holders. Our farms range from 30 cows to 1,100 cows, with the addition of sucklers, beef finishing, sheep & camelids. Branch Manager required to co-ordinate the business function of our busy mixed practices at Dungannon, Aughnacloy and Drumahoe.

Firmount Veterinary Clinic are looking for a full time registered veterinary nurse to join our team. We are an independently owed mixed animal practice in Antrim Town. This maternity cover may have the opportunity to progress into to a permanent RVN position within the practice.
In the past few years our clinic has completed a renovation so you will be working within our new spacious premises.
Working hours will be on rota basis between the hours of 8am-7pm Monday –Friday. Weekends will consist of 1 in 5, 8am-4pm Saturday and casual hours Sunday. No OOH.

The role will incorporate all aspects of nursing to include;
Nursing clinics including interacting with clients with a genuine interest for the patient
Monitoring anaesthetics
X –raying patients under veterinary direction, assisting with ultrasonography
Taking and running blood samples using IDEXX machines
Completing paperwork with clients
Answering phone calls with support staff and updating clients
Kennels rounds to include, cleaning kennels, nursing sick patients, medicating and updating clients on their pet
Competent in dealing with emotional and stressful interactions and show a natural ability to have empathy towards clients
Maintaining a clean and tidy working space
Occasional reception desk cover
