Glenshane Veterinary Clinics Salary up to £65,000 DOE, plus Relocation Allowance up to £8,000 and up to £10,000 welcome bonus Glenshane Veterinary Clinic have an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team based at their Maghera, Kilrea and Dungiven branches. This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who still enjoys working with different species: 65% is farm work with a touch of equine, and 35% is a good caseload of companion animal work. Our ideal candidate will be a confident Veterinary Surgeon preferably with some experience in both farm and companion animal work. Newly/recent graduated Veterinary Surgeons are welcome to apply and will certainly be considered. We are regularly out visiting farm clients, so a driving license is an essential requirement for the role. About Glenshane Veterinary Clinic We have a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons of which 4 have 20 years’+ experience and a dedicated Veterinary Nursing team and Support team. We are a 3-branch practice, at the foot of the Sperrin Mountain. Two of our branches have a farm animal handling facility. We have all the usual equipment in the main branch for both farm and small animal practice including easy scan/small animal ultrasound, IDEXX lab station, microscope, Ovacte, x-ray, endoscope, ECG, kennelling/stabling facilities, small ruminant operating table, and a horse stock. The small animal practice offers routine consults and surgery, internal medicine investigations, soft tissue surgery, some orthopaedic surgery and any emergency surgery as and when required. We mainly see cats and dogs and some small furys, but occasionally a reptile or bird is also presented. The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week plus OOH
