NIVA Evening Meeting

“New Approaches to Old Problems – How new and emerging technologies are enhancing traditional approaches to disease control.”

Wednesday 11th March @7pm

AFBI, Hillsborough

Meet at 7pm for tea/coffee and traybakes.

Talks to start from 7.30pm

The combination of traditional and novel technologies and investigative approaches are allowing unprecedented insights into infectious diseases. This meeting will unpack how the combination of tools that are now available are allowing the detailed understanding of infectious diseases, what drives transmission, how the pathogens are changing over time and insights into how transmission can be prevented. The meeting will cover findings from the PM room through to the most up to date application of genomic techniques in the battle against infectious diseases.
