‘Heart disease affects 1 in 7 cats, but diagnosis can be difficult in first opinion practice. A heart murmur might be innocent, or might be an early sign of severe hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). This talk will provide a practical approach on how to differentiate cats that need treatment from those at low risk of cardiac complications. Treatment options at different stages of HCM will be discussed.’
