At Rathgael Garden Lodge Vets, collaboration, care, and community are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time across our well-established small animal clinics in Bangor, Holywood, and Stormont.
A Role with Variety and Balance
Our caseload is mainly cats and dogs, with the occasional rabbit, small furry, or even injured wildlife. No two days are the same, and while you’ll be primarily based in Bangor, you’ll also have the opportunity to support our other branches. Consultations focus on continuity of care, giving you the chance to build strong client relationships, alongside surgery time that includes routine ops, abdominal cases, and a wide range of dentals. With excellent referral links, you’ll always feel supported.
Modern Facilities, Supportive Team
Our Bangor practice is bright, spacious, and well-equipped with X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and a separate dental suite with dental X-ray. You’ll be part of a close-knit team of six vets, six RVNs, and 12 support staff. We have certificate holders in General Practice, Small Animal Surgery, and Orthopaedics, and we’re proud to mentor and support further qualifications. As an accredited training practice, we’re equally committed to developing the next generation of RVNs.
Flexibility That Works for You
We know balance matters. Our full-time role is 40 hours across five days with just 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9–12). There’s no out-of-hours or on-call, and we’re happy to shape working patterns around your lifestyle.
