A position has become vacant for an experienced vet to join our team, in my independently owned and managed practice.
Deal with all species in a well equipped and supported work place.
The practice is SA, equine and farm in a roughly equal split but our more experienced colleagues bring a more specialised role to the table.
Strong clinical and communication skills, confidence and ability to work in a friendly team environment and a wish to deliver a good outcome for the animal and client is crucial.
This is a varied job. Whilst most of the team develop their preferred niche clinical activities during the day and are encouraged to do so, OOH requires the ability to handle anything and everything, with backup as required, case by case.
Phones are answered and filtered OOH usually by me so I know what/who is coming to you.
OOH is not incredibly busy and is mostly SA and equine.
It is 1 in 4 and will be moving to 1 in 5, always with time off in lieu.
We are well equipped with 3 Dr Xray units, several scanners, endoscope, gastroscope, dental machines and full lab.
Cases are worked up as required as a partnership between vet and client .There are no set turnover or sales targets.
Everyone just gets on with it.
The practice has offices in Moira ,Dromore and equine facilities at Taughlumny.
Package can include house, vehicle or mileage ,all flexible as required, and will be at the top of the range to reflect the quality of the vet I am hoping to attract.
