Glenshane Veterinary Clinic have an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team based at their Maghera, Kilrea and Dungiven branches. This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking to work in a mixed dairy-beef-sheep practice with a good case load of small animal work and a bit of equine work.
The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week. There is an OOH requirement to work 1 night per week on call, in the winter months and 1 night per week every fortnight, in summer months.

We are looking for a competent and well-rounded Registered Veterinary Nurse to undertake all of the following duties; Nurse consultations to include; weight clinics, 6 month checks, nail trimming, nutrition chats and many more.
On average you will work 36 hours per week including out of hours (8pm-8am) and weekend work (1 in 4) but with plenty of time back after/before the weekend. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 2-3 nights per week.
We take pride in our imaging suite which includes top of the range ultrasonography, radiography, a CT scanner which I often nurse led, an MRI scanner which again often nurse led and endoscopy, multiple multiparameter machines a well as ecg and 2 blood pressure machines.

Small Animal Vet Surgeon – St Elmo Vets
At St Elmo (Derry/Londonderry), you will be part of an experienced team of 3 Vets, 6 RVN’s, a fantastic support team of receptionists and Practice Director. You will enjoy a varied range of cases and encouraged to build your own client base. We have a brand new fully refurbished, purpose-built clinic, filled with all the latest tech and equipment. Our practice now boasts, 4 consult rooms, theatre, separate dog, cat and isolation rooms, X-ray and lab facilities on site plus a lift, offices, 3 bathrooms, rest room, staff room and laundry room, plus onsite parking.
We have 30-minute consults as standard, with 15 minutes for boosters and vaccines. Full or part-time hours will be considered, 20-40 hours per week, with a requirement to cover 1 night every 3 weeks on call, plus 1 in 18 weekends, with plans to have an OOH provider in place by July 2024.
Salary £42k – £60k+ pro rata, dependant on experience and qualifications.
